Nice.

Pretty good. Vocals not even close, but at least they're there! Good guitar/drum/bass work. And, I heard this on Imeem.com just a few seconds ago.

Keep it up.

P.S. I'm doing my own cover, although I changed the name and lyrics so I can play this in front of people (like my parents) and not get killed. ;) But, it should go pretty well, because I have some relatively good recording equipment and I can do the growls and the shrieks without any aid of digital modification...except turning down the volume so it doesn't blow out your ears. :D I'll post here in a week or so. Doing the lyrics now, and then I'll lay down the vocals, but I got all the instruments recorded and mixed. So, we'll see how it goes.

Dude.

OMG. That was amazing!!!!! Rock on, man!

Keep it up!

thanks!
I'll do my best! ;)

Sweet.

Not very Black Metal, except for the orchestra and ambiance, but still very good metal. Awesome technique, but bad recording quality. Not in the reolution of the audio, but things are not level at all (for instance, the vocals keep switching between overpowering and near inaudible throughout), the drums are way too quiet, and the guitars could have just a little more presence. Overall, the guitars and the background elements are the best mixed, but the technique for every part of this song is otherwise near perfect. Great job!

P.S. Since this isn't very Black Metal, I would probably classify it as symphonic Death Metal.

Wow.

Even though it isn't the most metal song on NG, it still is one of the more professional metal songs on NG that I have heard.

Keep it up!

mhb responds:

word! thanks!!! and all i used was sonar 3 on an old hp with the integrated audio card.

Pretty cool.

I like it. The harmonies sound pretty dissonant in the beginning, but it's still really well made, and pretty darn metal.

Keep it up.

Cool.

I like the metal side of this, but
a.It sounds like you're using FL Slayer (2?), which I have a grudge against for not sounding very cool. But, that's just a pet peeve.
b.The song is basically a-tonal. Which can be a good thing if you know how to use it properly. But, in this case it detracts from the song and makes it sound amateur/half-assed. This is really apparent in the solo, which seems to have no flow or direction, and the chords that the rhythm guitar plays during the solo don't even match. Basically what I'm saying is that you should take a Beginning Music Theory class and then do another piece.
Overall, I'd have to say that this is really well done, but needs some "professional" improvement.

Keep it up.

netty-swobb responds:

About the FL Slayer. The basis of the guitars is Slayer 2, but the distortion and everything, thats a VST Amp called JMC900 plus some other shiz. Trust me, if you compare this to slayer 2 then u will hear the difference.

I'm not sure what u meant by a-tonal. If u mean the key, then thats a C or D but can't remember which. I think it's D tho.

Thanks for the review mate :D

Sweet.

Don't know why this has such a low score (maybe because of the audio quality/integrity), because it kicks ass. Can't wait to hear the album!
Go Black Metal!
